2 Flop Superhero Films ‘Win’ Big at 2025 Razzie Awards

Days before the 2025 Oscars are handed out at the Academy Awards, the Razzies have crowned all of the worst projects and performances from the past year. 

The critically snubbed and box office Spider-Man adjacent Madame Web movie was the big winner, taking home three awards including Worst Picture. The movie’s star Dakota Johnson was awarded Worst Actress for her portrayal of Cassandra Webb. The movie also won Worst Screenplay.

Joker: Folie à Deux was 2024’s most Razzie nominated movie and ended up taking home two trophies including Worst Screen Combo for performances from Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel.

Jerry Seinfeld was awarded Worst Actor for his performance in the Pop-Tarts creation movie Unfrosted.

Francis Ford Coppola was named Worst Director for his much-maligned Megalopolis and took to his Instagram to accept the award and criticize current-day Hollywood.

“I am thrilled to accept the Razzie award in so many important categories for Megalopolis, and for the distinctive honor of being nominated as the worst director, worst screenplay, and worst picture at a time when so few have the courage to go against the prevailing trends of contemporary moviemaking!” he wrote in the post’s caption, which included a picture of himself.

Other awards of note went to Jon Voight in Megalopolis for Worst Supporting Actor and Amy Schumer in Unfrosted as Worst Supporting Actress.
