Costco Food Court Hack Goes Viral: 'Never Eating the Same Again'
The beloved food court at Costco is as big of a draw for many shoppers as the bulk deals, discount liquor, and rotating bakery items. However, the menu is pretty standard across U.S. locations, featuring items such as the enduring $1.50 hot dog meal deal, pizza, fruit smoothies, chicken bake, and so on. And when the big box retailer does introduce new menu items, it doesn't always resonate with customers.
So perhaps that's why a viral new hack making the rounds on TikTok has some people coming up with their own inventive Costco meal by combing two menu staples.
The first instance of the hack surfaced earlier this month from a creator named Kati, who posted it as part of the platform's "Emergency Contact" trend. In the short clip, the user's dining companion can be seen removing the cheese off a slice of pizza and putting it on top of a hot dog fully dressed with ketchup, mustard, and relish.

The video has since been viewed over 3.6 million times, and didn't take long to inspire others to try the hack for themselves. Just a day later, a user who posts under the handle @missouttapocket attempted the same, giving it the glowing review: "Never eating at Costco the same again."
"Saw [Kati's] TikTok about her emergency contact doing this and had to try it," the user captioned the post, which has likewise been viewed nearly 2.5 million times.

The so-called hack seems to stem from a similar gimmick that was trending on the platform last year, in which customers would take the entire hot dog and wrap it in the slice of pizza. It's also akin to what Philadelphians call a "Philly Taco," which consists of a cheesesteak wrapped in a jumbo pizza slice.
At any rate, despite the apparent waste of pizza crust, others cosigned the menu hack. "Stop I’m pregnant and I’m shaking now," gushed one user on the original post. Meanwhile, others praised her emergency contact. "OK now hold up he's onto something," chimed in a fan, while another quipped, "Woah woah let him cook."
But in either case, whether you top your glizzy with cheese or roll the whole thing in the pizza slice, the filling meal is a bargain that costs under $5 dollars. But unfortunately, you have to be a member to partake.
