Former 'Jeopardy!' Star Found Dead At 41
A former contestant on "Jeopardy!" has tragically been found dead at 41 years old.
Laurin Bell, a former standout contestant on the daily trivia show, has died. According to multiple reports, Bell was found dead on Monday, March 24. The former "Jeopardy!" contestant had appeared on the show back in February of 2023.
The former "Jeopardy!" contestant had an impressive performance in her debut. She correctly answered nearly 90 percent of her attempted questions. Bell accumulated $5,200 before the final round, before going back to $0 after missing the Final Jeopardy question.
Bell was unable to correctly answer a question about Halley’s Comet, incorrectly answering "What is Pluto?" to drop her score down to nothing.
The former "Jeopardy!" contestant stood out on the show for her vibrant outfit. "This is such a pretty print! I like that the flowers are large enough to translate on camera. The style is very nice too, with the tie neckline and short sleeves," one fan wrote.

Bell’s cousin, Kristen Joyner, wrote in a Facebook post that she had died on Monday night.
"It is with a heavy heart that we have to let everyone know Laurin Bell decided to end her life last night. She was a brilliant, funny, and beautiful soul Please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers as they process this loss," she wrote.
"She had a dog that was taken to the pound, if anyone is willing to take her in please let me know she is 14 years old and not good with other dogs, but is friendly with everyone and cats. She’s a great companion and needs love.
"The pup is at the shelter located in Polk County, FL. Her name is Kinley. She has 10 days."
The former "Jeopardy!" contestant was a graduate of Duquesne University. She resided in Lakeland, Florida. Bell's appearance on the hit game show came while Ken Jennings was hosting.
