Deion Sanders Eats Crow After His Shedeur Sanders NFL Draft Tweet Resurfaces

Deion Sanders had some lofty expectations for his son, Shedeur, in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Dallas Cowboys great predicted back in May that his son would be a top-5 pick.

But things didn't pan out that way. In fact, to everyone's shock, Shedeur dropped out of the first round after he went unselected Thursday during Day 1 of the NFL Draft. Shedeur is now up for grabs for Friday's second round, and fans flocked to Deion's May tweet and got X to slap it with a dreaded Community Note.

While clapping back at a football fan who called out Shedeur's attitude, Deion responded by tweeting, "He will be a top 5 pick. Where yo son going? Lololol I got time today. Lolol."

The Community Cold simply read, "Shedeur Sanders was not a top 5 draft pick." The note was accompanied by a link to Thursday's draft pick list.

Football fans didn't end there. They continued roasting Deion and Shedeur in the replies, with one fan suggesting Shedeur would be flipping hamburgers if he wasn't the son of an NFL great.

Adding insult to injury, fans also mocked Shedeur by photoshopping his No. 2 jersey to note he's, at best, a second-round pick. Fans were also not a fan of his custom-built draft room at his home in Texas.

Meanwhile, Shedeur's teammate Travis Hunter didn't have to wait long to hear his named called. The Heisman Trophy winner was selected No. 2 by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who made waves when they traded up from No. 5 for the second pick with the Cleveland Browns.
