Jalen Milroe Sends 3-Word Warning to NFL Teams That Passed on Him

While all eyes - and media attention - have been focused on former Colorado star quarterback Shedeur Sanders' inexplicable slide in the 2025 NFL draft, there was another big winner from the quarterback class.

Former Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe attended the first round of the draft in Green Bay, WI on April 24 knowing that he likely wouldn't be selected, but he didn't seem deterred.

“My biggest thing is, it’s not about being drafted in the first round,” Milroe said. “It’s about hearing my name called. That’s my biggest thing that I’m looking forward to, is to hear my name called and know where home’s gonna be at initially. And, also, it’s a dream come true to be a part of the draft. If I go first round or second round, I’ll still be able to experience walking the stage and being here. This is a dream come true.”

While he handled the first round with humility and grace, two rounds later he did something slightly different. The Seattle Seahawks selected Milroe with the No. 92 overall pick in the draft leading to the quote of the weekend.

When asked if he thought he was the best quarterback in the class and if he wanted to deliver any message to the teams that passed on him, he delivered.

"Belt to ass," he said plainly.

Five quarterbacks have been drafted through the first three rounds with Cam Ward going No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans, Jaxson Dart to the New York Giants, Tyler Shough to the New Orleans Saints, Milroe to the Seahawks and Dillon Gabriel to the Cleveland Browns.
