Vince Vaughn Teases ‘Bad Monkey’ Season 2 With a Cryptic Update
Fans already know that Apple TV+'s Bad Monkey was renewed for Season 2, but there is very little information available. Now, Vince Vaughn is teasing viewers with a very cryptic hint about what to expect in its sophomore season — and we can't wait!
The 55-year-old actor spoke with Collider in early May about the upcoming season, revealing that they "will start filming this year." While that is good news for fans, it sounds like the writers are still at the beginning stages of the writing process.
"I think they have the outline for the first four episodes," Vaughn added. "I don't want to give away too much because we kind of left it in a great place to see where a lot of different things go, but I think that what [creator] Bill [Lawrence] has as far as what's going on is super, super fun and interesting, and a really great next step for the characters."

Bad Monkey is also changing up its filming location this year. While the show will still be set in Florida, most of the series will be filmed in California — and there is a strong reason for making the switch.
"Well, Florida is such an iconic part of that story that we're still going to shoot the exteriors and a lot of that stuff in Florida, where it takes place, but a lot of the interiors and stuff we're going to be able to do in California. Bill, who runs the show, lives there, we both have kids, and it's true what you're saying," he said.
So, they aren't abandoning Florida completely, but their home life was a major factor in their decision, along with the new tax incentives for the film industry in Los Angeles.
There is still no premiere date for Bad Monkey, but with filming happening in late 2025, a 2026 launch date is a likely prospect.
