Nika King Will Not Appear in Season 3 of 'Euphoria'
As season three of HBO's hit show Euphoria continues filming, there have been several stars from the show who have been confirmed to be rejoining the cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Eric Dane. However, a few key characters will not be returning in the upcoming season.
During the first two seasons of the show, Nika King played Leslie Bennett, the mother of the main character Rue Bennett, who is played by Zendaya. While she was an important and beloved character in the first two seasons, she has recently confirmed that she will not appear in the upcoming season.
"I see the DMs, I see the comments asking if I'm returning to season 3 on Euphoria," King said in a video she shared earlier this year. "Unfortunately, I am not. My character's not coming back to the show. But I am forever grateful to HBO and Zendaya and Sam Levinson to come on set and do my thing."
"I am so excited for what's next for me. I know that God does not make mistakes and when one door closes, another door opens."
King recently shared a post to her Instagram story once again highlighting the fact that she would not be returning to the show. In the photo, she was washing dishes at the Blue Tree Cafe she owns with her mother in Florida, with text that read "When ppl ask me if I'm filming S3 of Euphoria."

In addition to King's absence from the show, Storm Reid, who played Rue's sister on the show, has also recently confirmed that she will not be a part of the cast for season 3, either.
Needless to say, it seems like the cast will look quite a bit different for the upcoming season of the show, which is to be expected given how long it's been between seasons.
