It's been a raucous Ryder Cup for golf legend Rory McIlroy and his wife Erica.
For starters, McIlroy unleashed an expletive when fans wouldn't quiet down, telling them to shut up. Then came reports that a fan threw a drink at McIlroy and his wife after the Saturday, September 27 play, causing McIlroy's wife Erica Stoll to break down in tears.
Things were getting ugly at the Ryder Cup as tensions escalated between the Irish golfer and fans.

The report of the tossed drink came from Barstool Sports' Fore Play podcast.

However, some fans weren't in a sympathetic mood. "Let’s not overlook Rory flipping the fans off and cussing them out and getting fans kicked out. Tough look," responded one in the podcast's X comment thread.
"There is a long standing tradition of heckling during the Ryder Cup. But this would cross the line," another wrote, however. "If this is true. That’s too far period. Verbal abuse is what we need to stick too. And leave the Family out of it," added another.

According to Belfast Live, Erica McIlroy was in tears due to "relentless heckling" at the Ryder Cup.
That site reported that Rory McIlroy "responded by sarcastically blowing kisses" at the crowd at one point. The Mirror reported that Erica Stoll had "tears streaming down her face."
McIlroy was allegedly taunted by fans who brought up his ex-girlfriend Caroline Wozniacki as well as his wife.
“Somebody threw a drink at her!" a fan shouted in one video, but it's not clear whether the drink struck Erica.
