Shedeur Sanders’ Older Brother Shilo Pranks Cleveland Browns Fans

The Cleveland Browns took on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, marking the second career start for Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

The rookie quarterback experienced a difficult day, facing pressure from Pittsburgh's defense all game long. Gabriel attempted 52 passes and was sacked six times, essentially running for his life behind an overmatched offensive line.

Gabriel's performances haven't inspired a great deal of confidence in the fanbase, and some have advocated for fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders to get an opportunity. Sanders' older brother Shilo petitioned for his brother to get a chance, but he did so in an unconventional way.

Ahead of Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Shilo Sanders dressed as his younger brother Shedeur - in full uniform - to walk around the concourse at Acrisure Stadium.

"You know who I am?," Shilo asks a smiling Browns fan before signing their hat. "Shedeur Sanders. That's right."

Sanders Continues to Wait for an Opportunity

The fan told "Shedeur" that he wanted him to get an opportunity, and one Pittsburgh fan even admitted that they wanted to see the former Colorado quarterback take the field. Shilo's cosplay act continued with more autograph signings, and some fans even posed with him for photos.

The real Shedeur Sanders continues to wait for his first chance at regular season NFL action. Sanders appeared in multiple games for the Browns during the preseason, but the team began the year with Joe Flacco as its starting quarterback.

After Flacco struggled - and was traded to Cincinnati - Gabriel has emerged as the new starter. The Browns are 0-2 in his two starts, but the team's problems extend beyond their quarterback play. Receivers aren't able to get separation, and Gabriel often has little time to allow their routes to develop before pressure comes in from the defense.

Shedeur and Shilo's Path to the NFL

The Browns aren't likely to make the postseason after their 1-5 start to the year, but another change at quarterback could come if they feel Gabriel isn't improving over what they had previously in Flacco. Sanders is currently next in line if another change is made, and after one win in their first six games, that change could be imminent.

Shilo and Shedeur Sanders played for their father Deion at Jackson State and Colorado in college, following him to Boulder after his initial coaching success in Mississippi. Deion Sanders inherited a one-win team and produced several NFL draft picks and a Heisman trophy winner in Travis Hunter.

Shilo played defensive back at Colorado and earned a chance to make an NFL roster while spending time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during training camp. He was cut before the start of the regular season, but has remained supportive of his father and brother as they continue their football journeys.
