Beloved Crime Drama Making Netflix Debut in January
Netflix will be making notable changes to its library in the new year, with hundreds of titles coming and going from the streaming service throughout the month of January.
Of the series being added, some have been part of Netflix's catalog before, but haven't been offered on the platform in a while, while others are making their Netflix debuts. One series set to be added for the first time is the popular crime drama Rizzoli & Isles.
Based on the Rizzoli & Isles novel series by renowned author Tess Gerritsen, the show was a mainstay on TNT from 2010-2016. Now, Rizzoli & Isles, which stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander as its two titular characters, is going to be available on Netflix for the first time.
When will 'Rizzoli & Isles' debut on Netflix?
According to What's On Netflix's Kasey Moore, all seven seasons of Rizzoli & Isles will be on Netflix starting January 20, 2026.
The show, which consists of 105 episodes, is one of four titles being added to Netflix that day, per Moore. The others are Just a Dash (Seasons 1-3), a cooking show featuring chef and actor Matty Matheson, the first season of Netflix reality show Star Search and the second season of the wrestling docuseries WWE: Unreal.
What to know about 'Rizzoli & Isles'
In addition to Harmon as Jane Rizzoli and Alexander as Maura Isles, Rizzoli & Isles features Lorraine Bracco, Bruce McGill, Jordan Bridges, Idara Victor and the late Lee Thompson Young have major roles in the series. Donnie Wahlberg and Chazz Palmintieri are among the more recognizable names who had recurring parts of made guest appearances on the show.
Harmon and Alexander won the "Favorite Cable TV Actress" honor at the People's Choice Awards in 2015 and 2016, respectively, for their performances.
Rizzoli & Isles has a 7.7/10 rating on IMDB, with the third season of the series earning an 83% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
