Son of Dallas Cowboys Legend Receives SEC Offer

Today, in news that might make you feel old, Dez Bryant Jr, son of Dallas Cowboys legend Dez Bryant, is receiving college offers. The 5-foot-10 rising junior has seen his recruitment heating up, with Kentucky giving him his third Power Four offer yesterday, joining SMU and Texas A&M. Bryant Jr. is receiving interest for his play and not just for his name, as he recently recorded a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and a 9-foot-2 broad jump.

While he doesn't have a star ranking, schools are still very interested in Bryant Jr. On top of the Power Four schools, he has offers from Arkansas State, Texas State and Sacremento State. Bryant Jr. played his sophomore season at Colleyville Heritage in Colleyville, Texas, but has transferred to Southlake Carroll in Southlake, Texas. Southlake Carroll is a juggernaut in Texas High School Football, so Bryant Jr. will look to get more exposure there.

Bryant Jr. is the son of Dez Bryant, who was a first-round pick by the Cowboys in 2010. Bryant had an electric career with Dallas, totaling 531 receptions and 73 touchdowns in his eight seasons there. Bryant retired in 2020 after short stints with the Ravens and Saints. Now, Bryant spends his time coaching, using his receiver skills to teach the next generation of football players.
