'Invested' Livvy Dunne Reacts to MLB Star Boyfriend's Pitching Performance

Livvy Dunne told Men's Journal earlier this year that she made it her goal to attend each and every one of her MLB star boyfriend Paul Skenes' starts this season.

She got off to a rough start, though it wasn't entirely her fault. She missed Skenes' first start during the World Baseball Classic, which she missed because she was busy after landing her first TV gig, which turned out to be the Baywatch reboot.

In any event, the former LSU gymnastics star has been busy squeezing in Skenes' starts with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and that was no different this weekend while in Toronto, when the Pirates visited the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.

Dunne sat in the stands to watch Skenes. She's always so invested in these games. She shows support with her attendance, wearing custom Skenes jerseys, and more.

On Saturday, the 23-year-old model and actress sat in the stands cheering on her man. But the cheering didn't last long.

Blue Jays star George Springer connected on Skenes' 98-mile-per-hour four-seamer for a moonshot to left field. Dunne could be seen on camera immediately letting out an expletive to express early frustration, which, if nothing else, shows she knows ball, because she immediately knew her boyfriend had given up a leadoff home run.

It wasn't a great night for Skenes. He was battered for nine hits and four earned runs. Skenes, the reigning NL Cy Young winner, now has 6 wins against 4 losses with a 3.00 ERA in 11 starts.

After the game, Skenes admitted the Blue Jays found a way to bully him early.

"They (Blue Jays) did a good job today. Watching a couple of the pitches, just kind of got to tip your cap,” Skenes said, via SportsNet Pittsburgh.  "There was good and bad. I need to get ahead in counts. I wasn't super unhappy with some of the execution on some of the pitches. But could have executed a number of them better. I'll have to rewatch (the game) again. But I think similar to last week (against the Philadelphia Phillies), probably not as bad as the line would suggest."

Dunne won't stop attending Skenes games, which is obvious. Fortunately, the rest of Major League Baseball still consideres Skenes as one of the league's most elite pitchers, so he'll continue to be feared in each of his starts.

And Dunne will be there to cheer him on.
